Many would likely say that authentic food is food that is true tasting to the original historical recipe or cuisine. While this definition is not incorrect at all, it isn’t what I am referring to. I’m talking about food that has part of you in it (not literally of course). It is food that is made with quality ingredients and always from scratch. It is made with passion and love. Authentic food doesn’t necessarily have to take hours and hours to make. It can be a summer salad with local produce and a homemade dressing or a slow smoked beef brisket that takes a full day’s commitment.
Regardless, if you put your heart and soul into your food I can assure you that it will reflect it. With a bit of passion and a few fresh ingredients, you too can be making authentic food by tomorrow!
Until next time, keep it smooth and keep it tasty!
